The winter break is the perfect time to take advantage of Waimea Valley’s Kamaaina Keiki Wednesday program. The valley offers free admission to kamaaina and military keiki ages 4-12 and hosts free activities and cultural games, but it’s hard to make the drive out there on a school day. Check out the fun 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Jan. 2. https://www.waimeavalley.net/

Farewell Aqueous
Last chance to check out Aqueous at Kapolei Commons. Some of the panels aren’t lighting up anymore, but that isn’t stopping the kids from having a blast changing the lights by stomping, running and dancing on them. The exhibit closes Dec. 31. http://www.thekapoleicommons.com/

Merry Christmas Eve
Once again, it’s time to track Santa as he treks his way around the world delivering presents to good little girls and boys. The military leaders have their eye on him though. Check out Santa’s progress at noradsanta.org.
