Happy birthday, Geoffrey!

It’s Geoffrey the giraffe’s birthday and he wants to celebrate with your child from 3 to 4 p.m. April 7 at Toys R Us. There will be stories and songs, a treat and an appearance with the giant costumed character. If it’s your child’s birthday and he or she is signed up with the store’s birthday club, they will receive an age-appropriate gift, too. (Stuffed animals for the little ones, Lego for the older set.) Get it on the fun before the toy giant shuts its doors permanently.  https://www.toysrus.com/toys/events/in-store-events

Shocking story

Honolulu Theatre for Youth closes the season with Shocka: The story of energy in Hawaii. The musical performances about the world of energy are April 13, 14, 21, 28 and May 5 and 12. If it’s anything like last year’s amazing H20: The story of water. They should fit quite a spectacle into the 60-minute production. http://www.htyweb.org/plays/shocka-story-energy-hawaii/
