RevoluSun and Surfrider Foundation invite you to help clean up the beach 10 a.m. to noon July 28 at Makapuu Beach. It’s a great way to teach kids about giving back and taking care of the aina. (According to the groups, marine debris kills more than 100,000 mammals and one million birds every year.) And at the end of the clean up, you can jump in the water. The first 100 volunteers get a free T-shirt. Sign-in starts at 9:30 a.m.
Kaiser Permanente is hosting a free car seat check event with experts who can assess if your seat is installed properly. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention estimate 46% of car and booster seats are used incorrectly.
